Uh but there is, you know, it it is a little bit out of the way, so um, you can take a night's rest to recover your strain. Uh the next morning over after the overnight trip, the proximity alarm chimes, and you can drop out of hyperspace towards the lush, beautiful, completely dry planet Bimis.

So, uh Illyria, you got success with threat knowing about uh the Kravaki. So uh since the Kravaki written language did come up last time, uh, you may have done some brushing up on them since they were taking people to Bimis. Uh unfortunately, because you got that threat, you couldn't find any confirmation one way or the other whether water and sand like have the same word or the same meaning. Uh so because you didn't find any evidence, they might be separate, but you never know. Maybe you just weren't looking in the right books.

Uh Chris, um, you got failure with advantage. So you didn't you don't know anything about the Kravaki, but uh this planet Bimis that does kind of ping something f in in your brain. There is a planet called Bimisari that is home to uh two completely different species, both known as the Bim. One of them is a Bim from Bimis. Yeah, so so on Bimassari there are two species, both of them called the Bim. One of them are a kind of like rodent-like blue furred species uh that are native to the planet. The other bims are uh short uh humans or near humans that immigrated to Bimassari in ancient times from parts unknown. Since you're since this is the lost planet Abimis, it's possible that this planet is actually the homeworld of those near-human bims. So if you're looking for any cultural signifiers of what you should be looking for, maybe it would be better to study the bims rather than the Kravakki. Ah, look to the BIMs. And Kala, uh, you got advantage on uh your uh checking the scopes. Yeah, my computers. So unfortunately, uh your scopes aren't really giving you a lot of information. It seems like there might be some signs of like civilization or technology. It's really hard to say though, uh, because a lot of the planet is dotted in what appears to be sandstorms that are kind of messing with your scopes.

Do we want to try to go for uh somewhere where there's some civilization or avoid it?

Okay, so uh you can bring the ship down towards the desert surface of Bimis. Uh, as you observe, sandstorms are kicking up. So if you want to avoid those, and if you want to uh try and sit down away from where there may be some civilizations, uh this is it's gonna be starting as a two purple. You guys don't have any destiny points since there are some storms. Uh, I'm gonna give you one, change that into a red and a purple. Uh and we'll throw a black on there because even if you are trying to avoid the storms, there is a lot of wind, just kind of residual wind that's kicking up.

Yeah, and you can add that blue from being aware of the storms and prepare it appropriately.

Okay. So you were trying specifically to avoid uh like civilization. Yeah. Well, you don't. So uh you fail avoiding civilization. But as you are bringing the ship towards the surface, you do kind of get caught up in this massive sandstorm. Uh your ship, although it is an advanced sort of uh Jedi built craft, or at least it's one that's good enough to be used by Jedi on a regular basis. You guys have used the Shack T pretty regularly on your adventures, you know it fairly well. But the sandstorm does kind of almost sneak up on you, and your ship is sent whirling through the skies of this planet, pelted with tiny little shards of sand. You can hear it just like sheets of rain almost on the hull. And because you got those advantages, when your vision clears, you do see a little civilization. You do see a uh a small makeshift, almost like scavenger's village. It seems sort of post-apocalyptic. There are some buildings that seem to have been damaged by previous sandstorms and patched and repatched, but mostly what you notice as well is that there are flashes of light on the ground as it seems like the village is being attacked by maybe raiders or pirates or some force is come to this village and has decided to open fire on the people there. Oh shit. Oh, you guys should probably save these people. Yeah, if you save them, you might you might that might help you in terms of your first contact. Let's save them.

I am not very good at fighting. Well, you you're still in the ship, you're still in the air. Uh if you want to man the gun turrets, you could. If you want to try and set down outside, what's your uh I don't think my Oh, my gunnery's not bad.

When you say not bad, because like if you're firing on something that's significantly smaller than our ship, then there's also gonna be like it's gonna be much more difficult. So I don't know if it would be better for us to set down and uh go out, or if you feel confident in pot shotting some raiders.

Uh how close are they to the civilians? Yeah, that's the other thing.

So what you can see is that they do have some really worn down looking speeders, and some of them even are just like riding pack animals. But it seems like the the raiders are uh coming from outside the town. You can see where they are, you can see where their speeders are parked. So the speeders would be like silhouette 2, maybe silhouette 3, depending on how big they are, but they are all kind of clustered together at the entrance to this town.

So, uh, success, advantage, and triumph. How many advantages is that? Uh, two advantage. Okay, so you can add a blue. We can you can downgrade it. So these guys, if you're shooting at them, your ship is silhouette four. The cluster of uh speeders together would be probably about silhouette four altogether. So we'll call this a two purple. The triumph is you're gonna be able to upgrade that, but because of the uh despair, that is also going to upgrade the roll against you. So that'll be against a red and a purple gunnery.

Ooh. So you can fire at these speeders, these raider speeders that are parked along the edge of the city. However, because you got that threat, this is also coming into play from Kala's piloting. Like, as you're coming in, she's not slowing down as you're making your approach. So you don't you guys don't, it's a good thing it's soft sand, because you guys don't really land so much as like do a controlled crash through the wreckage of these speeders. And you can even kind of see, like, as you're coming down, like the raiders that survived, like, look up just in time to be totally smushed by your ship and ground into the sand, leaving presumably a pretty nasty uh blood trail in your wake.

We took them out, and then just like I do I do appreciate how it wasn't me shooting the guns that killed these guys.

So you can see there's a lot of sand kicked up, a lot of smoke. Uh, but as you can as the smoke kind of clears, you can see that your ship has kind of spun and turned as it crashed and is now facing into the center of this village. There seems to be like a well at the center that they've kind of built their village around. You've avoided crushing any of their buildings. It seems okay. Like there is some superficial damage to the gate protecting the city, but that was blown open anyway. And you can see that uh it seems like the residents of this uh village are Bim, and they're kind of like looking at your ship with fear and awe.

And they all kind of like look around and whisper to each other in like hushed tones, and it seems like they've never like there's you're a falling, you're with a Balisar, which looks human enough. You have antenna, but they're retractable antenna. I don't know if your antenna are retracted or visible at this point. You've got a chis with you, another human, and a tweelex, so it seems that they've like never seen a lot of your type of creatures before, but they throw up their hands mimicking you, Chris, and they say, Bonjour!

Well, if you look inside our well, the the water is uh quite low to the bottom. It is a long time to pull a bucket back up. Is that a Is it a witch? Yes, oh a wicked witch came to our planet uncounted seasons ago and killed the wizard who was protecting us and making sure that the waters flowed freely. The waters, she took them from us, took them deep into the ground, and now we have naught but to spare.

Well, she has taken control of the crystal city and her minions patrol. The raiders there, you see, they they come and they come for our water and those of the villages nearby.

So, um, Illyria. The threat is that there is something that seems valuable. Like in the mangled remains of one of these raiders, like you do see something interesting, but it involves like sticking your hand into the gore in the viscera of his remains and pulling it out, which is not a pleasant sensation. And it appears to be give me uh since you got the threat, you you won't know what this is right away, but uh if you want to give me either a computer's or a lore, two purple.

So this the BIM, uh, they mentioned like the witch lives in some kind of a crystal city. And what this is, is a small, you could identify it as a memory crystal. It's a type of data storage device, almost like a fiber optic, where information is stored inside the crystal as a pulse of light. And you can see this crystal once you wash the gunk off of it. There is a softly kind of pulsing, bouncing light inside of it. It's very small, about the size of your thumbnail. But it seems that like this crystal is almost you can see like some of the other raiders have it as well. It's and based on what kind of where it was on his, for lack of a better term, uniform, it seems that they're using it as a kind of pass key or code key, which is weird because like memory crystals are number one tough to get working because you need really, really high quality crystals to do it. Like kyber, you can do it with. The Jedi sometimes use memory crystals to store important information. But primarily it's used by smugglers just because of how uh hard it is to get information into them. It's very uncommon for it to be used. Only people who have very important information or very secret information use it. But the people of the crystal city seem to be just throwing this shit around with wild abandon. Like all of their raiders have these little memory crystals, which is uh suggests that maybe the crystals have something to do with the properties of the water.

So what you can see, like, all of the raiders are Miri Allen's, and they all like they all do look very like they have the same, what at least what you can gather from the remains of their faces, is that a lot of their faces do share similar features.

Okay. Are they like similar enough that it's like the same face or like a family?

It it seems like it's a family, like they're they're all very like particular features. Um, they're not a handsome family either. They are kind of like ugly, I guess you could say. Oh no, is this gonna be an inbreeding situation? Are there any with like single eyes? None of them have I mean, some of them have single eyes now. As as mangled as they are, I don't know if you can get that deep, but they are all definitely a family. They're not an attractive family. That may just be because they're pirates or something, but uh, or maybe if this witch does have these powers, maybe she's cooking something up. And Starzan, you got uh triumph, failure, and advantage. So you can't notice anything about these particular goons here. Uh, but if you want to notice something else or try something else, you could if you want to investigate, I guess, the well or the bims, or is there anything else that you think would be useful to know about that isn't these raiders? I'll check out the well. So the well I got distracted by it. Yeah, so the well, as they say, you can look into it, and it is quite deep and it is quite dark. But if you pull up like a bucket from the well as they're investigating all of this gore and these uh busted up raiders, you can, you know, crank the handle on the side, and the rope gets pulled up after several minutes of them looking looking through these remains, and you can kind of get a little splash of water from this bucket. The bucket is only even like half full. So there's not a lot, but what you can do you drink this water? Shh yes. So Star Z would 100% drink this water. So you you can drink this water and you can feel any sort of stress or fear or injury just like melting away. You feel at peace, you feel like so. Right now you have 57 morality, you gain a morality point from drinking this water.

No, the water has been taken underground. The crystal city is quite above ground, and we used to visit it often before the witch came and did what she did. So, uh you can head out into the desert, and as you're walking, like there is like the barest hint of like an old road that used to exist that was probably more visible before the sands blew in, before all the water receded, before all the plants died. There's there's this road that you can kind of follow. And and you can see there are like the remains of civilization along the road. You can see that there are like old fence posts where once maybe there were crops. You can see the desiccated husks where there once were forests, and like because you didn't get any threat, you can notice that like the trees almost seem to be like you keep your distance, but they seem to be almost like bending towards you as if like the moisture of your bodies is attracting them to you. Yeah. But they don't uh they don't trap you or anything, and eventually, uh dodging sandstorms, hiding in caves for like an hour or two here and there, munching on some rations. It's quite it's quite a trek, but you can keep your spirits up. You don't, you know, run low on supplies or anything. But eventually you do see on the horizon glittering, something like sparkling and glowing, and as you approach, you can see this large walled city with a gate. The walls are like immaculately carved stone. The seams are so tight that it appears to have almost been like molded rather than built. But there are like these glittering crystals that are arranged all around the wall. The gate as you approach it, the archway is embedded with these crystals as well, and you can like feel the force emanating incredibly strongly from this city. There are a couple of guards at the gate, though. They do seem to be raiders, and they do seem to be heavily armed.

But the water doesn't really look like water. It's kind of like brown and yellow and sludgy, and you can see milling about there are a lot of Miri Allen. Again, all of them look like no older than 25, but they seem to be like using the waters freely for whatever purpose. You see one of them pulling his pants down and squatting over the waterway and just like shitting into it, and then downstream somebody else with a bucket just scooping it up and like taking a big gulp before carrying it off.
